1. Who we are
The Industry Tour is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. If you have any questions or wish to exercise your rights, you can reach us at partners@theindustrytour.com.
2. Scope
This notice explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you visit our website, send us an enquiry, or engage our services. It does not cover any separate terms agreed directly with you as part of a client engagement.
3. Personal data we collect
We keep this to a minimum. Through our enquiry form, we collect your name, the email address or phone number you choose to share, and any optional note about your enquiry. We also process any information you later share with us by email, phone or during an engagement, so that we can scope and deliver our services, along with limited technical data that our website and hosting provider need to operate the site securely, such as your IP address and basic server logs. We do not seek or knowingly collect any special categories of personal data, such as health, political or biometric data.
4. How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to respond to your enquiry and follow up with you, on the basis of steps taken at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us. If you engage us, we use it to scope, plan and deliver our services, on the basis of performing our contract with you. We also process data to keep our website secure and working, which rests on our legitimate interest in running a safe and functional site, and to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations, where the basis is compliance with a legal obligation. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for any period afterwards that we are legally required to retain them, such as accounting and tax records. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at partners@theindustrytour.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), at www.cnpd.pt, or with the supervisory authority in your country.
9. Confidentiality of your business
We treat each client's commercial strategy, counterparties and sourcing arrangements as strictly confidential. Engagement details are protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures and are shared only with those who need them to deliver your mission.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
